Henna didn't grow in the "New World". If it had, I'm
certain
that all the Native American nations would have had a wonderful time
with
it.
If you like these.... the BEST book I've ever seen on the subject,
with
glorious patterns, is "Pueblo Designs, 176 illustratins of the
'Rain
Bird'" by H. P. Mera, Dover Publications, 1970, reprint from the
original
1938, Laboratory of Anthropology. I don't know if it still in print. My
old copy doesn't even have a zebra code.
