Every Jewish community in the Sephardic countries
celebrates
a "night of the henna" that is very similar to their Muslim
neighbors'.
Henna has been part of Jewish Middle Eastern tradition since about 1000
or 800 BCE.
Two color patterns can be done by applying
several-day
old paste for 15 minutes, then rinsing it off .... then applying fresh
paste and leaving it on overnight for a darker outline color.
