Chinese and Japanese Calligraphy http://www.formosa-kingdom.com/chinese
http://www.cmoondesigns.com/chinese.htmland   http://www.kanjitattoos.com have  lists of Chinese/Japanese characters .   If it's not here .... get friendly with the staff at your local Chinese restraunt, or Asian market, and perhaps someone there can help you. Chinese and Japanese translating dictionaries are also at most large bookstores and libraries.

If you want Chinese and Japanese patterns and dragons, look in back issues of "Arts of Asia" magazine, and large coffee-table books of Oriental Art, or go to a museum and see an exhibit of Asian art!

Before visiting the linked site that claims to translate western names into Chinese (no telling WHAT they come out meaning) please read this article: http://www.maxent.org/ch/chinese_tattoos.html

Still need your NAME in Chinese?   http://www.mandarintools.com/chinesename.html
This is a great site because it will really help you get the *right* name for yourself.  If you just try approximating syllables or letters from English to Chinese.... you could end up tattooed with something that thanslates as "hides beans up left nostril" or "embraces broken answering machines" or "slurping raccoons causing nocturnal disturbance".

Just remember, Chinese symbols do not represent sounds, so there is not telling what your "name" might mean, if anything at all, to a native speaker. And you couldn't honestly tell someone, "this is my name in Chinese" as it isn't that at all! http://www.goodorient.com/goodorient/wallpapernames.html

Also see this for a listing of various names "translated": http://zhongwen.com/qianming.htm
